Instead...

So, instead of knitting the sock's or crocheting the hat or sewing the sweater bag or basically doing anything productive yesterday. This is what I did.

Which is a good thing. I was going to multi task by thinking about what I should do about my situation. You know, the hat and what kind of pattern might better suit the yarn. And why I had such a difficult time knitting the sock. And all that kind of thing. But instead, I found that doing my nails took all of my thought! There was no multi tasking possible. Instead, I brainlessly did one nail at a time. Trimming, filing, removing cuticles, buffing and painting. With no other thought in my head except... "gosh I wish I was ambidextrous".

At least you spend some time being kind to your hands!!! You were being productive whether you admit it or not. AND your hands are pretty.

I would be ashamed to show my hands right now! No nails, alligator skin... yuck.

Boy I wish I were near by.. I would run right over and show you my 2 circular, toe up way to do socks. I'm sorry you're frustrated with it all.. if you have specific questions though, you can e-mail me through my profile page, also I have never been able to crochet yarn like that, your hook gets stuck in the extra fluff.. so you are not alone, I can only knit with that stuff. The finger nail thing? Brilliant decision! (and they look very nice!)

I can't help you with the knitting but manicures are fun. Is that black polish??

Wow...great job on the manicure! I find that there is alway a huge list of "have to" sometimes it's nice just to do something simple and comforting! Beth
